Bhubaneswar, 25 Sept: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched mega campaign in Odisha for disbursement of loans for small entrepreneurs under Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) at Berhampur on Friday.

\r\n

Starting from September 25 the campaign will continue till October 2. During the campaign the government aims at disbursing 25 lakh Shishu loans and the department has set a target of 25 Shishu loans per bank branch throughout the country.

\r\n

“Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) will definitely free small and poor entrepreneurs from burden of extremely high interest rates charged on them by moneylenders. Modi Government is committed for economic empowerment of poor, needy and those who are excluded so far. Financial inclusion through Mudra Bank will go a long way in ensuring more economic activity in the country,” the minister said.

On the occasion, allotment letters from banks to beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) were handed over.
