Bhubaneswar, 4th Feb 2016: NABARD has decided to conduct 4000 Village Level Programs for SHGs on a mission mode in the State through branches of Commercial Banks, RRBs and Cooperative Banks from 1st to 15th March 2016.

The objective is to rejuvenate the SHGs by way of credit camps/linkage meets where activities like sanction, release, recovery campaign, etc., will be covered. The programs will also provide the SHG members information about linkage, operation of loan accounts (Term loan and CC), prompt payment concept for NRLM subvention and other available supports to SHGs.

Branch officials and members of 6-7 SHGs falling in those villages, representatives of NGOs and OLM will participate in the program. It has also been decided by NABARD to extend financial support for conducting such programs. This has already been discussed in the last SLBC meeting held on 22.02.2016 to ensure participation of all banks, Govt., and OLM and other stakeholders.
