Bhubaneswar: Country’s largest public sector bank [PSB] State Bank of India has dedicated fifteen new branches for Odisha on the first day of the news year 2015 Thursday, thereby augmenting its financial inclusion drive further in the state.

“SBI has so far opened 820 branches in the state and achieved remarkable success in opening of so many branches within due time,” CGM, SBI Bhubaneswar Circle, Sri K M Trivedi said. He hailed the efforts of the bank in general and the Bhubaneswar circle in particular that has been an example for other circles in the state, in kickstarting more branches.

The event was inaugurated on-line by Development Commissioner and Deputy Chief Secretary to Odisha Government, Sri Upendra Nath Behera on Thursday.

Regional Director RBI, Sri P K Jena along with other senior officials of the bank were present on the occasion.
