Bhubaneswar, 22/01/15: In a bid to promote the budding artists of the State, a painting competition was organised by leading banker SBI (Local Head Office) among the students of Utkal University and B K College of Arts & Crafts here on Thursday.

\r\n

“Odisha is rich in its own culture and heritage. The young artists can picturise their thoughts , imagination in the form of arts which will depict the culture of the State.,” Shri Niten Chandra, Principal Secretary, GA Department, Government of Odisha said inaugurating the event.

\r\n

He lauded the efforts of SBI for encouraging young artists besides, steps undertaken by the bank in overall development of the State.

\r\n

Addressing the gathering CGM of the bank K M Trivedi said, “Such type of event will provide an opportunity to the raw/new talents of Odisha to showcase their imagination and in the process would create a number of M F hussains.”

\r\n

General Manager SBI BBSR circle Pulak Kumar Sinha, Dr D K Jena, VC, Utkal University of Culture, Dr Suman Das of B K College of Arts & Crafts were present on the occasion.
