Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has decided to make the Capital Bhubaneswar WiFi enabled, Naveen said inaugurating an one day event “Advantage Odisha 2015” organised by The Telegraph and ABP group here.

With the new Industry-friendly ICT policy 2014 in place, every Govt department will now earmark at least 2% of their Annual Plan Budget for IT spending so as to provide services through electronic mode.

\r\n

“Odisha  strive to be the preferred IT destination for IT / ITES / ESDM companies with an investor- friendly policy framework and the fiscal incentives & concessions by the Govt,” Naveen said.

\r\n

“A target has been set to achieve a gross ICT turnover of 4 bn US dollars, direct employment of 60,000 IT professionals, attract 10 leading IT / ITES & 5 leading ESDM companies to the state, create a built-up space of 6 mn sqft and a developed land bank of 2000 acres by 2020,” he said during the event.
