Bhubaneswar, 20th April 2015: Odisha Government has decided to hike the dearness allowance (DA) by 6% for the all govt employees with retrospective effect from January’ 2015. The benefit will also be applicable to employees of Grant-in-Aid colleges , an official release said.

\r\n

Post hike the DA will be paid @113% in place of earlier @107%. Employees will get the increment in April month’s pay. After that, the outstanding incremental DA from Jan-March 2015 will be paid to them.

\r\n

By this hike, the Government is going to cough up an additional Rs 531.29 crore in the current financial year to benefit around 4 lakh workers in the State.
