Bhubaneswar: The first-ever ‘Real Estate Award’, a Focus Odisha initiative, was held on Saturday here amid much fanfare.

\r\n

While Tapan Mohanty of Z-Estates was conferred ‘Lifetime Achievement’, awardees among other categories are: Acrux Realcon in the ‘Best Affordable Housing’ category for its project Acropolis, Neelanchal Build Tech & Resorts in ‘Best Group Housing’ for its Balaji Complex project. Similarly, ‘Best Environment Friendly’ went to Vipul Ltd for its Vipul Gardens project and Utkal Builders was given ‘Best Commercial Project’ for its Utkal Signature project.

Neelachal Construction was considered winner in ‘Best Architectural Design’ category for its Convent Garden project, ‘Best Emerging Developer’ went to Life Style Properties, ‘Best Housing Society’ to BMC Bhawani Enclave Welfare Society and Kanchanjangha VIP Enclaves Apartment Owners Association was selected winner in ‘Best Housing Society-Jury Choice’ category.

Orissa State Housing Board Chairman Pratap Keshari Deb inaugurated the event. Among others, Editor-Focus Odisha DN Singh, Prof S S Ray, Director School of Architecture & Design of KIIT University, Akshay K Beuria, practicing architect & National Council Member of Indian Institute of Architects, Dillip Satpathy, Resident Editor-Business Standard and DS Tripathy, Joint Secretary, CREDAI National were present.

A panel discussion on the current real estate scenario was held on the occasion. Manoranjan Mishra of Focus Odisha moderated the show.
