Bhubaneswar: Tata Steel is going to set up 30 model schools in thirty different blocks of seven districts of Odisha at a cost of around Rs 135 crore. A booklet to this effect was unveiled by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesdayhere.

The booklet contains details of the infrastructure, layout of the building, facilities to be provided in the model schools etc. Out of the 30 schools nine will be set up in Jajpur, three in Keonjhar, five in Ganjam, three in Sundergarh, one in Dhenkanal, eight in Cuttack and one will be located in Nayagarh district.

Foundation stone for such model schools has already been laid in Kamakhyanagar block of the Dhenkanal district and Ghasipura and hatadihi blocks of Keonjhar district of Odisha.

“Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Co [JUSCO], a Tata Steel subsidiary will construct these schools and after completion the schools will be handed over to the State Government,” MD Tata steel, India and SEA said on the occasion.
