Bhubaneswar, 28th Nov: Odisha Government has approved setting up of one super specialty cardiac care hospital on public-private-partnership (PPP) in Jharsuguda on Saturday here.

The hospital will have 50 beds and 2 operation theaters. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 40 crore, to be constructed under joint aegis of State Government and Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. There is also a proposal mooted to develop human organ bank in future in the said hospital.

Also Infrastructure development projects under PPP mode have been put to first track under the Empowered Committee on Infrastructure (ECI), that was decided in a high level meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati on Saturday.

Among the projects reviewed by the committee included, development of storage and ware housing for rice under State PEG Scheme at 15 locations, city bus service in Berhampur- Gopalpur-Chhatrapur- Hinjilicut urban cluster, 2 numbers of affordable housing projects under housing for all policy in urban areas, 4- laning of Sambalpur- Rourkela Section of State High Way No-10, 23 number of Road projects and 3 fly overs etc.
