Bhubaneswar, 29th Sept: The Single Window Clearance Authority chaired by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on Thursday approved 2 new investment projects worth around 224 crore. The projects include, the proposal of Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperatives ( IFFCO ) and Well Spun Odisha Steel Pvt Ltd.

Earlier the State has got good response in terms of investors interest in building projects here, in Make in India week at Mumbai during 14th- 15th February, 2016 and Odisha Investors Meet in Bengaluru during 25th- 26th August 2016. Padhi advised respective secretaries to follow up the projects for translating in to reality.

“The project proposal of IFFCO for setting up a railway siding at new Paradeep station yard envisaged investment of Rs 63.55 crore”, General Manager IPICOL Kalayan Mohanty said.”The project would provide employment to around 97 persons, and it is scheduled to be completed within 14 months,” he added.

Another approved project was the proposal of Welspun Odisha Pvt Ltd to set up 0.27 MTPA long product (steel) facilities center at Dosingha near Dhamara of Bhadrak district. The proposal entails an investment of around Rs 160.15 crore and provide employment to around 915 persons. The land required for the purpose is around 40 acres.

It is to be noted that, among the investors met at Mumbai, so far 14 project proposals envisaging investment of around Rs.70,959 crore has been mobilized and expedited. In the meanwhile 2 companies namely Geetanjali Exports and Deepak fertilizers have already grounded the project. Similarly, from among the investors met at Bengaluru, around 26 companies have been mobilized to submit detail project proposals envisaging investment of around Rs 90,670 crore.
