Bhubaneswar: June 24, 2018, Bhubaneswar Maha Sangathan (BMS) has launched a mega Tree Plantation Drive and Awareness Programme at Madhur Mayee Adarsha Sikshya Niketan, near Jharpara Special Jail, Bhubaneswar.
‘We appeal to the people from all walks of life to be a part of the drive to save the earth from climate change and global warming and combat environmental issues like deforestation’, said senior leaders of BMS.
The drive involving children aims at raising awareness among the common man about the benefits of planting trees. This will let our future generations lead a healthy life. The programmes will be extended to other parts of the state in the days to come, senior leaders added.
Among others, senior leaders of Bhubaneswar Maha Sangathan, Littu Routray, Prakash Ku. Mallick, Sidhant Acharya, Saroj Jena, Madhusudan Nayak and Sunil Ku. Behera were present and coordinated the programme.
BMS have been conducting various social activities like distribution of relief materials among flood victims, blood donation, plantation, women empowerment, welfare of slum dwellers, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and cleanliness drives in different parts of the city for last five years.’
