More than 1000 students of various colleges from all over the state came together in support of National Agenda Forum (NAF), a nation-wide youth campaign launched by the Indian Political Action Committee to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

Various college events were organized in districts like Balasore, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar by the Part Time Associates of the forum. The college students along with their professors actively participated in the events. In some colleges, the dean or the principal too showed their support to the youth centric movement.

More than 150 students from colleges like KKS Women’s College and Orissa Academy of Social Science and Integrated Studies in Balasore participated in the event, while in Bhubaneswar, more than 450 students from Gandhi Institute of Technical Advancement and Gita Institute of Technological Advancement attended the event. In Ravenshaw University, 150 students supported the National Agenda Forum and participated in the event organized by the Part Time Associates.

The burgeoning unemployment in the country was the foremost focus during the discussions and the students wanted this issue to be the most important agenda of the forum.

Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) launched the National Agenda Forum (NAF) as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary year on 29th June 2018. NAF is a pan-India initiative to resurrect the conversation around Gandhiji’s 18-point Constructive Programme and use it to re-imagine and co-create India’s priorities to formulate an actionable agenda for contemporary India.

Till date – 88,000+ youth associates from over 4,000 colleges, 311 distinguished personalities from 6 countries and 20+ states, and 337 civil society organizations spread across 346 districts have joined the ever-growing NAF ecosystem.
