Bhubaneswar, September 25, 2020: InfinX and XSC corporate relations team organized Privitti’20, Xavier School of Commerce (XSC), Xavier University, Bhubaneswar’s (XUB) annual business conclave on September 25, 2020. The theme was “Pandemic Pandora – Fear and Anxiety to Hope and Pride”.The conclave was ennobled by reputed speakers, faculty members, and students. It was inaugurated by Dr. P.K. Mohanty (Dean, XSC), who was our esteemed moderator. The speakers were Anand Singh (Co-Founder, Wilson Financial Services), Pankaj Rai (Senior Vice President, Strategy Wells Fargo), Rabindra Jena (Strategy and Program Management, Credit Suisse) and Saket Mehrotra (CA, CS by profession with 6+ years of Experience in Finance Domain). Mr. Singh stated the worldwide job loss and compared it with 2008. He emphasised on the opportunities in the IT and Finance sector and mentioned skills are more important than just degrees. Mr. Mehrotra mentioned that Indians invest in gold and real estate because there are misconceptions about the stock market and said it is necessary to be patient. Mr. Pankaj Rai closely focused on the concept of 5c’s – Curiosity, Communication, Compassionate, Creativity and Conviction and drew parallels from the world of investments as well. Mr. Jena’s advice was to learn more and focus on the journey than the end goal. He reminded students that opportunities exist only if students work hard and believe in themselves.
