  • Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik expressed happiness that another exclusive Covid Hospital with 300 beds and 40 ICU beds is readied in Bhubaneswar. He also said that additional 20 ICU beds have been kept readied at SUM and KIMS to strengthen health infrastructure in order to fight COVID-19.
  • Hon’ble Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that District Head Quarters Hospital, Malkangiri has started initiatives to ensure better health services for the people of Swabhiman Anchal in Malkangiri district. A team of specialists has started health services in Chitrakonda while experts will provide services through visits to different locations of Swabhiman Anchal.
  • Hon’ble Chief Minister paid humble tributes to great educationist and social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar on his birth anniversary. A great champion of women empowerment and Sanskrit education, he relentlessly campaigned to eradicate social evils prevalent in the society, Hon’ble Chief Minister said.
  • Hon’ble Chief Minister wrote to Hon’ble Union Minister Sri Prahlad Singh Patel to accord classical status to Odissi music to fulfil the long cherished dream of music lovers of Odisha and that of India. Hon’ble Chief Minister said that Odishan music has a tradition of 2000 years and is based on Shastra and its own Raga. He further highlighted pioneering efforts of Government of Odisha to get classical status for Odissi music at an institutional level like establishment of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre, Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi and Utkal University of Culture, way back in 1999.
  • As per direction of Hon’ble Chief Minister, persons who have successfully completed institutional quarantine are being given incentive of Rs.2000/- each. A sum of Rs. 134,70,90,000/- has been paid so far. This amount is given from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

  • Up to midnight of 25th September, 30,62,7173 samples have been tested.
  • Number of Positive Cases stands 2,05,452.
  • 1,65,432 persons have already recovered/ discharged.
  • Number of Death cases 783.
  • No of active cases are 39,184.
  • 39,184 persons are in Hospital isolation.
