Bhubaneswar: As part of its CSR initiative, Country’s largest public sector bank State Bank of India, in Boudh district have already completed construction of toilets in respect of 37 schools, constructed under Swachha Vidyalaya Mission [SVM].

The toilets have been constructed by the NGO, Ruchika Social Service Organization on behalf of SBI. Odisha Finance Minister Sri Pradip Kumar Amat, handed over the keys of toilets to the School Management in the presence of Dist. Collector, Magistrate Sri Madhusudan Mishra, IAS and CGM of SBI , Sri B.Venu Gopala Reddy, in a glittering function on 12 th August, 2015.

Under Swachha Vidyalaya Mission, SBI had taken a target of constructing toilets in 42 schools of Boudh district and they will maintain the toilets for 2 years. They have already completed construction in respect of 37 schools and for rest of the 5 schools, the district administration has allotted the school recently for which construction will start very soon.

\r\n

Among others Ananta Kumar Chowdhury, General Manager, SBI, Manoj Kumar Satpathy, Regional Manager, Phulbani and Prof. Narayan Rao, Secretary, Ruchika Social Service were present in the meeting.
